Viessmann boilers

Viessmann sits at the premium end of the market, and its Vitodens range turns up often in higher-value London refurbishments, where the stainless steel heat exchanger and longer expected lifespan justify the extra cost. Because someone chose it deliberately rather than defaulting to it, Ninja Plumbers usually finds these boilers in properties where the whole heating system was properly designed rather than simply inherited from whatever was there before.

The Viessmann range

Viessmann is a German business founded in 1917, and since 2024 its heating business has been part of the American group Carrier. Its gas boilers are sold as Vitodens, in combi, system and heat-only versions, all built around a stainless steel heat exchanger. The 050 and 100 series are the more affordable end; the 200 series and above are the higher-specification models. Its oil boilers are outside what we do, since oil work needs OFTEC registration rather than Gas Safe, so our Viessmann work is on the gas range.
